The Surrey Park SC Competition is the next race meet I want all squads to attend. It is an appropriate meet for all age groups and an opportunity to set short-course (25m-Pool) race times.

The competition flyer is attached to this article. To enter this competition you must have registered as a competitive swimmer with the Hurricanes swim club, through Swim Central for the July 2025 to June 2026 competitive year.
Entries for these competitions ALWAYS fill up quickly. Make sure you get your entries in well in advance of the closing date, 10:00 PM July 15.


Expected entries per squad are as follows.

Junior Squad

The following five events to set times for future competition entries. Some events will seem close together. We train specifically to make sure that all Hurricanes swimmers can swim multiple races to a high level at each competition.

1. 50m Freestyle

2. 50m Breaststroke
3. 50m Backstroke
4. 50m Butterfly
5. 100m Freestyle


District Squad

The following five events to set times for future competition entries and beat our Personal Bests times from Warrnambool.

1. 200m Individual Medley if you are under the qualifying time. Or the 50m Freestyle if you are not under the qualifying time.
2. 100m Backstroke
3. 100m Butterfly
4. 100m Breaststroke
5. 100m Freestyle

State Squad

If you are not racing in the Metropolitan SC Competition on July 26-27, enter the following five events.

1. 200m Individual Medley
2. 100m Butterfly
3. 200m Freestyle
4. 100m Breaststroke
5. 100m Freestyle
If you cannot enter the 200m events because you have not met the qualifying standarsd, speak to Coach Evan for alternatives.
